The Opportunity (What You'll Accomplish)In this role, you'll be trusted to build, grow, and manage a profitable commercial loan portfolio within our Hunt Valley, Frederick and/or Carroll County markets while deepening relationships across the bank.
Within your first 12-24 months, success looks like:
- Developing and managing a strong portfolio of commercial relationships that consistently meets or exceeds loan and fee income goals.
- Becoming a recognized relationship lender in the local business community through proactive calling, referrals, and community involvement.
- Serving as the primary financial partner for your clients—identifying credit needs and introducing Treasury Management, Insurance, Wealth Management, and Mortgage solutions.
- Structuring and recommending sound credit requests by analyzing financial statements, cash flow, and risk.
- Exercising lending authority confidently and responsibly within bank policy.
- Collaborating with internal partners to deliver seamless, high-touch service to commercial customers.
- 5+ years of commercial lending experience, including portfolio management and new business development.
- A proven ability to win, retain, and grow commercial relationships through consultative selling.
- Strong credit fundamentals, including experience analyzing financial statements and loan structures.
- Working knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Confidence making recommendations and decisions using sound judgment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you're comfortable in boardrooms and community meetings alike.
- Active involvement (or a desire to be involved) in local civic and community organizations.
- Comfort with standard banking technology and Microsoft Office tools.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- ACNB is a well-established community bank with deep local credibility and decision-making close to the market.
- The autonomy to manage your portfolio like a business—without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Competitive incentive plan tied to performance. This position typically pays $120,000 - 150,000 annual base salary, but may be higher based on previous experience.
