What You'll Do:

Develop New Business Relationships:

Prospect and pursue new business members by promoting and selling appropriate business lending products and services across Southeast Michigan. Represent Vibe in the

Community:

Maintain a strong reputation for the credit union with members, prospects, referral sources, CUSOs, and community partners.

Manage Member Relationships:

Oversee existing business relationships, acting in an advisory capacity to understand members' financial and operational needs while mitigating undue risk.

Ensure Lending Compliance:

Maintain working knowledge of Vibe's Member Business Loan Policy and applicable state and federal regulations to ensure compliant lending decisions.

Assess Creditworthiness:

Interview loan applicants and analyze financial statements, credit history, banking relationships, and other relevant data to evaluate loan feasibility.

Support Loan Decisioning:

Refer qualifying loan applications to Commercial Alliance for decisioning and ensure approved loans are accurately documented and prepared for closing in coordination with the CUSO.

Provide Strategic Input:

Evaluate participation loan opportunities and present senior leadership with structured analysis, including strengths, risks, mitigations, and recommended participation levels.

Manage Problem Loans:

Identify emerging problem loans and work collaboratively with the CUSO to develop workout solutions that support both the member and the credit union.

Perform Other Duties:

Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned. Meet all established sales and service goals.

What We're Looking For:

Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience Minimum of five years of commercial lending experience Skills & Abilities Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain business relationships Proven sales and business development experience. Thorough understanding of the financial industry, commercial lending, underwriting practices, and related laws and regulations. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively. High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism to build trust within the communities we serve.
