In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering strong client relationships, assessing creditworthiness, and delivering tailored financial solutions to our commercial clients. Your expertise in loan origination, credit analysis, and customer service will help drive our growth and support our clients' success.
Responsibilities:
Develop new business opportunities by actively engaging with prospective commercial clients through financial sales and networking efforts Evaluate loan applications by conducting comprehensive credit analysis, underwriting, and risk assessments in compliance with banking regulations Negotiate loan terms, contracts, and conditions to ensure mutually beneficial agreements that align with bank policies and regulatory standards Prepare detailed loan packages using financial software such as Quicken or similar tools, ensuring accuracy and completeness for approval processes Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the loan process, providing exceptional customer service and guidance on mortgage servicing, escrow, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and Fair Housing regulations Collaborate with internal teams on loan processing, documentation, and underwriting to facilitate smooth transaction flow Stay current on industry trends, banking regulations, FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines, and mortgage market developments to provide informed advice
Requirements:
Proven experience in financial sales, loan origination, or bank lending roles with a strong background in customer service Demonstrated ability in negotiation, credit analysis, and underwriting processes within a banking or financial services environment Basic math skills including 10-key typing for data entry accuracy Knowledge of loan processing steps from application through approval and funding; experience with contracts and legal documentation related to loans Strong communication skills for building client relationships and collaborating across teams Ability to analyze financial statements and perform credit analysis confidently Prior bank or loan officer experience preferred; a proactive attitude toward learning industry best practices Join us at O'Bannon Bank where your expertise will contribute directly to empowering our community's businesses and individuals through personalized financial solutions.
