Job Description
CMG Home Loans is hiring experienced Non-QM /Jumbo/AIO Underwriter to support the Central Time Zone with policy and standards. The Underwriter ensures sound decisions to protect the financial and operational interests of the company . We are only considering underwriters who have recently been working with Non-QM loans .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities but not limited to: Underwrite complex Non-QM loans to multiple investor guidelines Underwrite Non-QM, Jumbo, and other manual underwrite loan products. Communicates regularly with Processors and Loan Officers regarding status of loans via current technology. Follows file and check order as conditions are signed off and new information is received . Maintains file order integrity. Maintains current working knowledge on loan products. Maintains conversation log in BYTE to properly track the forward movement of the file. Assists with training needs of other mortgage positions. Ad hoc reporting. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Prefer a minimum of five (5) years of specific manual underwriting experience. Must have experience working with Non-QM loans for last 12-24 months. Must have demonstrated satisfactory knowledge of DU and LP input. Ability to properly interpret DU and LP, communicate and document their findings. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment. Strong communication , interpersonal and organizational skills. High integrity and confidentiality required. Self-starter , self-reliant, dependable, ability to work within and meet specific time constraints. Flexibility in decision making with strong problem-solving skills .

This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required . Base Compensation Information - For residents of the states of CA & CO, and for New York City + other areas requiring disclosure: CMG pays a competitive base which ranges from $90,000 - $105,000+ as well as per file bonus and OT as needed. Factors that affect base salary may include: Underwriter experience including Non-QM/Jumbo/Portfolio loans and designations, overall knowledge, number of years worked in mortgage industry, types of roles performed, computer skills, experience specific to working with mortgage lenders, and education.
