This role is responsible for both business development (30%) and loan origination (70%), while delivering exceptional service to our members and referral partners. Key Responsibilities Business Development (30%) Originate residential first mortgage loans through relationships with builders, Realtors, developers, existing members, and referral partners Develop and maintain a strong referral network and existing book of business Explain and recommend appropriate loan programs to prospective borrowers Loan Origination (70%) Interview applicants and collect loan applications and supporting documentation Review applications for accuracy and compliance using quality control guidelines Complete borrower income analysis in accordance with underwriting standards Organize and submit loan files to processors and underwriters Maintain ongoing communication with borrowers and Realtors regarding loan status Perform system data entry for new loan applications Attend mortgage‑related onsite and offsite events as required Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong sales skills in a professional environment Working knowledge of FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC loan programs Knowledge of TRID requirements and income analysis Proficiency in mortgage lending systems and standard office software Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships Must maintain a valid Nevada State Driver's License Must be eligible for certification under the SAFE Act Reliable attendance and professional conduct required Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of two (2) years of experience in government and conventional loan origination, underwriting, and processing Two (2) years of experience as a Real Estate Loan Officer required Experience with FNMA Desktop Underwriter (DU) required
