Loan Officer Assistant

Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant (Bilingual Spanish/English) Patchogue, NY | Full-Time | In-Office Position With growth opportunity into a Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator role We are a fast-growing, family-oriented mortgage branch based in Patchogue, NY looking for a motivated, organized, and bilingual (Spanish/English) Loan Officer Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone already in the mortgage industry — or someone looking to build a long-term career in mortgage lending and eventually become a Loan Officer. You will work directly alongside experienced mortgage professionals, assist with active loan files, communicate with clients and referral partners, and learn the mortgage business from the ground up.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assisting Loan Officers with day-to-day loan pipeline management Speaking with clients in both English and Spanish Collecting and reviewing borrower documentation Following up on conditions, missing documents, and outstanding items Updating clients, attorneys, realtors, and processors throughout the loan process Managing files from pre-approval through closing Helping keep loan files organized and compliant Answering incoming calls, texts, and emails professionally Learning mortgage guidelines, loan products, and overall loan structure Assisting with social media, marketing, and client follow-up when needed

What We're Looking For:

Fluent in both Spanish and English (required) Strong communication and customer service skills Highly organized with attention to detail Self-motivated and eager to grow Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and team-player mentality Comfortable speaking with clients over the phone Mortgage experience preferred, but willing to train the right person Experience with Encompass, Point, or mortgage CRM systems is a plus NMLS license is NOT required to start, but willingness to pursue licensing in the future is preferred
