Closing Table Location:

At HomeSale Settlement, the Settlement Officer position is a unique, dual-function "production" role designed for growth-minded professionals who want to actively build and expand their own book of business. You will serve as both the technical expert managing the full lifecycle of a closing and the front-facing relationship builder establishing new client connections. What You'll Do Day-to-Day In this dual-focus role, you will manage both the operational desk work and the relationship-building activities required for a successful real estate settlement:
End-to-End File Processing:
Oversee the entire administrative closing process, which includes reviewing title orders, clearing commitment issues, and coordinating directly with lenders and agents.
Financial Data Governance:
Order and review all financial requisites (such as mortgage/lien payoffs, tax certifications, and final utility bills) and ensure data is accurately entered into our settlement software.
Legal Documentation & Compliance:
Prepare deeds and transaction-specific legal documents (trusts, POAs, etc.) while ensuring every file adheres to strict company policies and industry regulations.
Closing Facilitation & Disbursement:
Balance settlement funds, review lender loan packages, and conduct the physical closing, including managing check disbursements and wire confirmations.
Sales & Relationship Development:
Actively prospect to generate new business, and participate in realty social functions and team-building events to expand your client base. What You Bring to the Table We are looking for a highly organized, communicative professional with strong ethical standards who is excited to blend technical file management with business development:
Experience:
2+ years of experience in real estate settlements, title processing, or escrow operations.
Industry Knowledge:
Deep familiarity with title commitments, HUD/CD settlement statements, lender communications, and escrow accounting. An understanding of lender documentation and title policies is crucial.
Technical & Math Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, along with hands-on experience with title/settlement software systems. Strong math and accounting skills are required for balancing funds.
