Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Junior Underwriting / Senior Mortgage Processor for a 90-day contract opportunity in Pittsburgh, PA. This role will support the Mortgage Underwriting team by managing documentation, reviewing loan conditions, clearing conditions based on underwriting feedback, and ensuring timely communication with lines of business and vendors. The ideal candidate will have prior mortgage processing experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Upload and organize mortgage loan documents accurately and efficiently Review loan conditions and identify outstanding items Clear conditions based on underwriting feedback and loan requirements Generate commitment letters in a timely manner Communicate with lines of business and external vendors regarding documentation and status updates Support the underwriting team with processing-related tasks to help move loans through the pipeline Maintain accuracy and compliance throughout the loan review process

Mortgage processing experience

Mortgage underwriting experience Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Effective written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with mortgage underwriting and processing workflows

Other Details:

Onsite in Pittsburgh, PA Business casual attire Standard business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in mortgage processing is required.
• Prior exposure to mortgage underwriting or loan condition review is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of mortgage documents and residential lending file requirements.
• Experience supporting consumer loan or mortgage loan workflows in a financial services environment.
• Ability to manage multiple files at once while maintaining accuracy and organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams and external partners.
• Proficiency in reviewing documentation and identifying missing or incomplete loan conditions.
