Commercial Lender (Business Development Focus)
Location:
North Palm Beach, FL Compensation:
$94,000 - $105,000+ (Commensurate with experience) Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic, community-connected Commercial Lender with a heavy focus on business development. In this role, you will act as the face of the Credit Union, hitting the ground running to build relationships, secure commercial loans, and grow deposit accounts. If you are a self-starter who thrives on networking in the local community and managing a high-quality portfolio, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities Business Development:
Actively seek out and originate new commercial loans, real estate loans, and deposit accounts.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain deep referral networks and borrower relationships within the local community.
Portfolio Management:
Service assigned business portfolios, prepare commitment proposals, and manage yearly loan servicing/reporting compliance.
Financial Analysis:
Complete debt service coverage analysis and interpret personal and business tax returns.
Product Expertise:
Leverage a working knowledge of SBA and USDA loan products to cross-sell Credit Union solutions.
What We Are Looking For Local Connections:
Deep roots or an established professional network in the local area is highly preferred to hit the ground running.
Experience:
4+ years of business banking/financial services development experience and a minimum of 3 years in commercial real estate lending.
Sales Drive:
A proven track record in meeting sales goals, execution strategy, and excellent cold-calling skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent combined experience/education).
Skills:
Intermediate Word and Excel skills; strong underwriting/analytical mindset; excellent written and verbal communication. Job Requirements Ability to travel locally for community networking and relationship building. Must be bondable and compliant with
BSA/OFAC
requirements. Must work in-branch during the initial training period before transitioning to a hybrid schedule.
