Mortgage Appraiser Specialist Location:
Irving, TX (Hybrid)

Monday•Friday | 9 AM•5
PM EST Contract:
Long Term Job Summary:
We are looking for a Mortgage Appraiser Specialist with experience in appraisal review, collateral underwriting, or quality control. The role involves reviewing residential property appraisals, identifying risks, and communicating appraisal results directly with members/customers.
Required Skills:
1-5+ years of appraisal review or collateral underwriting experience Strong knowledge of USPAP, FHA, VA, and GSE guidelines Experience with CU (Collateral Underwriter) and Encompass or similar LOS tools Good communication and customer handling skills Experience working with credit unions or community banks is preferred
Responsibilities:
Review residential appraisals for Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, and HELOC loans Analyze property values, market data, comps, and appraisal adjustments Call members to explain appraisal results, deficiencies, or reconsideration requests Identify risks, inconsistencies, and compliance issues Work closely with underwriting and QC teams
