Job Description

SPC Credit Union is currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Hartsville team as a Mortgage Loan Servicer and make an immediate impact within our organization. In your initial 12 months as the Mortgage Loan Servicer, you will: Demonstrate your passion by understanding our member's expectations and deliver consistent service excellence in alignment with our values: Compassion. Connection. Community. Maintain accurate and up to date escrow accounts. Assist loan officers in the input and submission of mortgage loan applications. Obtain property abstract, survey and appraisal. Assist in the preparation and mailing of approval and denial letters to applicants. Assist in post-closing loan maintenance including but not limited to creating servicing file and secondary markets. Assist staff in the maintenance of efficient workflow to minimize turn around and processing time from initial loan application to closing. Ensure exceptional member service by maintaining thorough knowledge of Mortgage Lending Products, policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and required documentation. Requirements:
Experience:
Three to five years of similar or related experience.
Education:
A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills:
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Other Skills:
1. Knowledge of the secondary market and experience with first and second mortgage residential real estate lending. 2. Must be able to type, use PC and general office equipment including 10-key calculator. 3. Must have good communication skills.
