The Role As a CASA Mortgage Loan Officer, you will be responsible for originating ITIN and conventional residential mortgage loans within the Hispanic and immigrant community. This is a field-first role. You will be expected to build and maintain an active referral network through relationships with local centers of influence. What You Will Do Actively prospect and develop referral relationships in the Hispanic community Guide customers through the mortgage process from initial contact to closing, entirely in Spanish. Collect and analyze financial documents, review credit history, and assess repayment capacity. Complete loan applications accurately and ensure all files are compliant and complete. Issue consumer disclosures within applicable regulatory deadlines. Maintain working knowledge of Apex Bank's products, guidelines, and underwriting requirements. Represent Apex Bank and CASA at community events, financial education workshops, and cultural gatherings. Meet production targets and contribute to the growth of the CASA portfolio. What We Are Looking For Fluency in Spanish and English is required. A self-starter who is motivated by results and energized by community engagement. Prior mortgage or lending experience is a plus, but not a requirement — we will train the right person. NMLS registration required, or the ability to obtain one upon training completion. Strong communication, organizational, and follow-through skills. Reliable transportation and willingness to be active across the Knoxville MSA and surrounding markets. Compensation Competitive base salary, plus a quarterly production bonus tied to loan volume, deposit generation, and portfolio quality.
