Job Description
tnConnect Credit Union, a $90M financial institution with a main office in Knoxville, Tennessee, is seeking a motivated, member-focused professional to join our Lending Team as a Loan Specialist. In this role, you will help members achieve their financial goals by originating, processing, underwriting, and closing consumer loans while delivering exceptional service. You will also support our indirect auto lending program, secured loan recapture initiatives, and residential mortgage referral process. What You'll Do Originate and process consumer loan applications from application to closing. Analyze credit, income, and financial information to make sound lending decisions. Underwrite and fund indirect auto loans while working closely with dealer partners. Assist members with loan options and recommend products that meet their financial needs. Coordinate loan recapture opportunities and mortgage referral services. Strengthen member relationships by providing exceptional service and financial guidance. Ensure compliance with all credit union policies and lending regulations. What We're Looking For Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three or more years of consumer lending, financial services, or related experience preferred. Knowledge of consumer lending, underwriting, and loan documentation. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
