Escrow Assistant

Duties Assist escrow officers by preparing and reviewing escrow documents, contracts, and loan packages to ensure accuracy and completeness Coordinate with lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and clients to facilitate timely processing of escrow transactions Verify borrower information through credit analysis and ensure compliance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and Fair Housing regulations Manage escrow accounts by tracking deposits, disbursements, and ensuring proper documentation in accordance with TILA (Truth in Lending Act) requirements Conduct basic math calculations for loan amounts, closing costs, and prorations using 10-key typing skills to ensure precise financial transactions Support loan origination processes by assisting with underwriting procedures, loan processing steps, and maintaining detailed records Ensure all escrow activities adhere to banking standards, mortgage servicing protocols, and contractual obligations Qualifications Prior experience in loan officer roles or mortgage servicing is highly desirable Familiarity with TILA regulations, contracts management, and Fair Housing laws Strong understanding of banking operations, credit analysis, and escrow procedures Proficiency in basic math skills and 10-key typing for accurate financial calculations Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail in document review and data entry Ability to communicate effectively with clients, lenders, title companies, and internal teams to ensure seamless transaction flow Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
