Commercial Portfolio Manager -Dallas, TX FinTrust Connect has partnered with a community-focused financial institution to identify top talent for a Commercial Portfolio Manager role in Dallas, TX. This opportunity is ideal for a credit professional who brings strong commercial underwriting experience, sound portfolio management judgment, and a client-service mindset. The position supports Relationship Managers across commercial banking and selected commercial real estate relationships, helping drive disciplined credit decisions and high-quality portfolio oversight. Hybrid in Dallas, TX Functio n: This role is centered on commercial credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, risk assessment, and ongoing support of Relationship Managers. The Commercial Portfolio Manager helps structure transactions, guide approvals, maintain compliance, and support the long-term health of the loan portfolio
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in commercial credit analysis, underwriting, portfolio management, or commercial banking support Experience supporting CRE commercial loan portfolios, with exposure to CRE and some C&I transactions Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field preferred Strong financial statement analysis and cash flow evaluation skills Experience preparing credit memos, underwriting packages, and risk assessments Working knowledge of loan structuring, covenant monitoring, annual reviews, and exception tracking Familiarity with commercial lending regulations, fair lending standards, and bank credit policy Strong proficiency in Excel and commercial credit analysis tools Ability to work cross-functionally with Relationship Managers, Credit Administration, Loan Operations, and other internal partners Strong written communication and presentation skills
Description:
Analyze new and existing commercial credit relationships to assess repayment capacity, collateral support, guarantor strength, and overall risk profile Prepare complete and well-supported loan presentations, including credit memoranda, transaction structure, borrower background, financial analysis, and risk recommendations Conduct ongoing portfolio management activities, including annual reviews, covenant compliance tracking, exception clearing, and risk rating evaluation Perform industry and borrower research to support underwriting and portfolio decisions Use deeper analytical tools, including commercial real estate analysis when needed, to supplement traditional spreading and global cash flow review Partner with Relationship Managers to structure transactions that align with client needs and institutional credit standards Guide requests through the credit approval process and support presentations to credit leadership and committee stakeholders Help ensure documentation is complete and compliant, coordinating with internal teams to resolve deficiencies or outstanding items Monitor portfolio performance, support delinquency reduction efforts, and identify changing risk trends within assigned relationships Participate in client and prospect meetings as needed alongside Relationship Managers Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external professionals, including attorneys, appraisers, and other transaction partners Stay current on lending products, regulatory expectations, and internal policy updates while continuing professional development.
