Job Description

At Cantera Title & Escrow, we believe every closing is more than a transaction—it's a milestone. We are seeking an experienced, driven, and client-focused Escrow Officer to join our growing team. This individual will play a critical role in managing residential and/or commercial real estate transactions from contract to close while delivering an elevated client experience to buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and investors. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and understands how to confidently guide all parties through the closing process with professionalism, urgency, and accuracy. Key Responsibilities Manage escrow transactions from file opening through funding and final closing Review contracts, title commitments, lender instructions, surveys, payoffs, and all supporting closing documents Coordinate closely with real estate agents, lenders, buyers, sellers, attorneys, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely closings Prepare and review settlement statements, closing disclosures, and all escrow-related documents for accuracy and compliance Balance files, disburse funds, and ensure proper recording of all transaction documents Resolve title, payoff, lien, or funding issues efficiently while keeping all parties informed Maintain complete and accurate escrow files in accordance with company standards and state/federal regulations Deliver exceptional customer service while building long-term relationships with clients and industry partners Ensure compliance with all underwriting requirements, escrow procedures, and applicable real estate/title regulations Qualifications Previous experience as an Escrow Officer in the title, escrow, or real estate industry required Strong understanding of title commitments, curative matters, lender requirements, funding, and closing procedures Knowledge of state and federal real estate closing regulations Ability to read and interpret contracts, legal documents, and financial statements with precision Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills Ability to multitask and manage multiple files in a deadline-driven environment Experience with title and escrow software systems preferred What We're Looking For At Cantera Title & Escrow, we're looking for professionals who lead with confidence, communicate clearly, and take ownership of every file.
