This role is critical in ensuring smooth loan processing, excellent communication, and efficient management of loan files from application to closing. The Loan Officer Assistant serves as the primary support partner to the Loan Officer by assisting with loan file preparation, client communication, documentation collection, and pipeline management. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and committed to providing outstanding service to borrowers, referral partners, and internal team members. Duties Assist Loan Officers with the preparation and submission of residential mortgage loan applications. Collect, review, and organize borrower documentation. Ensure loan files are complete and compliant before submission to processing. Monitor loan milestones and assist with pipeline management. Serve as a point of contact for borrowers throughout the loan process. Provide timely updates regarding loan status and required documentation. Answer general questions and escalate complex issues to the Loan Officer when necessary. Deliver a positive and professional customer experience. Schedule appointments, consultations, and follow-up calls. Maintain accurate records within the loan origination system (LOS) and CRM. Prepare disclosures, pre-qualification letters, and other loan-related documents as directed. Assist with data entry and file maintenance. Coordinate with processors, underwriters, closing teams, real estate agents, builders, and title companies to help ensure timely closings. Support branch initiatives and contribute to overall team success. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Qualifications
MUST HAVE
previous experience as a loan officer assistant or in a related financial services role Knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage servicing processes Familiarity with TILA regulations, Fair Housing laws, and escrow procedures Strong understanding of loan origination workflows, credit analysis techniques, and basic math skills for calculations Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in using banking software systems and performing 10 key typing tasks accurately Ability to communicate clearly with clients, lenders, and internal teams while maintaining confidentiality Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

$42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
