Non-Exempt About the Role At Rio Bank, our Mortgage Loan Processors play a critical role in helping customers achieve homeownership. In this role, you'll guide mortgage loans from application to closing—partnering closely with Loan Officers, underwriting, and operations to ensure a smooth and on-time experience. What You'll Do In this role, you'll manage mortgage loans from application to closing while partnering closely with Mortgage Loan Officers and internal teams. Process mortgage loans from application through closing and post-settlement Gather, review, and track documentation to ensure complete and compliant files Communicate proactively with customers and internal partners on loan status Submit loans for underwriting and assist with clearing conditions Coordinate closings and prepare final settlement packages Review closing documents for accuracy and compliance Support Loan Officers in achieving loan and deposit goals Maintain confidentiality and deliver a strong customer experience Stay current on mortgage regulations, policies, and procedures A Day in the Life Of a Mortgage Loan Processor Your day starts with reviewing your pipeline—prioritizing deadlines and identifying any outstanding conditions. You'll connect with customers to gather documents and provide updates, while working with Mortgage Loan Officers and underwriting to keep loans moving forward. Throughout the day, you may be clearing conditions, preparing files for closing, or coordinating with title companies to finalize details. Each day is fast-paced and varied, but your focus remains the same—keeping loans on track and delivering a smooth, positive experience for every customer.
