URGENTLY HIRING A
downtown Salem Attorney is looking for an experienced real estate closer. Responsibilities would include downloading closing packages for settlement, prepare packages for closing, clearing title based on search, follow up with agents and lenders regarding upcoming closings. Must be detail-oriented; be able to work independently and in a team environment; be able to meet deadlines; must have a good personality to deal with our clients and the public daily; must be able to multi-task due to last-minute demands; mortgage industry background considered a plus.
JOB DUTIES MAY INCLUDE
(but are not limited to): Prepare and coordinate closings for both buyer and seller closings Clear title issues and draft curative documents Open and close out files Draft and finalize Closing Disclosures, ALTAs, HUD Settlement Statements and balance escrow Prepare and proof deeds and other transfer documents for recorder Schedule closings and manage closing calendar Review and understand closing documents Understand and complete all aspects of the closing process from the receipt of the contract through the closing at the table Prepare preliminary documents as required by lender when needed. Request insurance and payoffs when needed Understanding of purchase and refinance transactions Draft seller's documents Satisfy funding conditions for lenders
REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of 2 years table closing and title experience is preferred Working knowledge of preparing Closing Disclosures and HUD-1 Settlement Statements, balancing files, and clearing title issues Ability to work independently and with a team with minimal supervision A calm demeanor in stressful situations Exemplary customer service skills with Real Estate Associates, Lenders, Buyers and Sellers, as well as internal and all additional external clients High attention to detail Knowledge of Qualia is a plus Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word Notary Public commission preferred For consideration, please submit your cover letter and resume.
