Job Description

Job Summary Provides funding for qualified residential closed mortgage loans by evaluating the closed loan package shipped by a variety of lenders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Approves or rejects closed mortgage loans for funding within specific program guidelines set by company; meets turn-around time standards on files; deliver funded loans to the servicing department. 2. Works with lenders to help ensure funding of the closed mortgage loans on a weekly basis; answers telephone inquiries relating to program guidelines and outstanding curative requests. 3. Performs routine clerical work such as, but not limited to, gathering and assembling information, preparing reports, checking, coding and inputting data into mortgage database, making calculations, reconciling, filing, sorting and collating items. 4. Assists in improving procedures for the funding and delivery of a closed mortgage loan. 5. Cross train in all areas of funding and delivery department to fill in as needed. 6. Performs other duties, as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience:
Minimum six months to two years of mortgage loan closing experience or equivalent required.
Education:
A high school diploma or GED required.
Other Skills:
Strong time-management skills, detail-oriented, proven interpersonal skills, and ability to multitask.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Typical physical demands include: a high degree of manual dexterity to sufficiently perform computer functions on a keyboard, produce materials on a PC, operate basic office equipment, normal or corrected vision and hearing, extensive sitting and/or walking, mobility sufficient to visit with departments or employees throughout AHFA and lift up to 25 lbs.
