Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Loan Assistant to join our team in the banking industry. As a Loan Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our loan officers by providing administrative assistance and exceptional customer service to our clients. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing loan applications, verifying applicant information, and completing necessary loan documentation. You will also assist in processing loan payments and maintaining accurate records. The Loan Assistant will be the main point of contact for clients, answering their inquiries and providing them with updates on their loan applications. To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of loan processing procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. You should also have a customer-centric approach and be committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities Review loan applications and verify applicant information Prepare loan documentation and ensure accuracy Process loan payments accurately and in a timely manner Maintain accurate records of loan transactions Answer client inquiries and provide updates on loan applications Assist loan officers by collecting necessary documents from clients Collaborate with other internal departments to ensure efficient loan processing Manage loan pipeline to ensure timely processing and closing deadlines Track file status and follow up on outstanding conditions Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred Previous experience in a banking or financial institution preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan processing software Knowledge of loan processing procedures and regulations Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative High level of accountability and follow-through
