Job Description:
Position Summary:
The NMLS Licensing Assistant provides administrative support for individual Loan Officer licensing through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS). This entry-level position supports Loan Officers throughout the licensing process, ensuring applications, renewals, and required documentation are submitted accurately and on time. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building a career in mortgage compliance and licensing.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Loan Officers with submitting and maintaining individual licenses through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) Track license application progress and follow up on outstanding items Monitor renewal deadlines and continuing education requirements for Loan Officers Communicate with Loan Officers regarding licensing requirements, deficiencies, and next steps Maintain accurate internal records of licensing status and documentation Provide onboarding support for newly hired Loan Officers regarding licensing requirements
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Professional written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
