Full Job Description Duties:
- Review mortgage loan applications and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Calculate income, debt-to-income ratio, and other financial ratios using basic math skills
- Verify employment, income, and assets of borrowers
- Order and review credit reports, title reports, and appraisals
- Prepare loan files for underwriting and submit to the appropriate department
- Communicate with borrowers, real estate agents, and loan officers to gather necessary information and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Coordinate with escrow companies to ensure timely closing of loans
- Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions
Experience:
- Previous experience as a mortgage processor or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of mortgage loan products, guidelines, and regulations
- Familiarity with escrow processes and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate math calculations
- Proficient in using 10 key typing for data entry
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
