POSITION SUMMARY
The Lock Desk Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of interest rate locks, pricing confirmations, and data integrity within the Loan Origination System (LOS). This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all loans are priced in strict accordance with company and investor guidelines, protecting the organization from financial risk while delivering high-level support to the sales team. This is a full-time, on-site position. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates sound judgment under pressure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a full-time position requiring regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. The following duties represent the core functions of this role; however, this is not an exhaustive list ofresponsibilities. Review, process, and confirm rate lock requests submitted by Loan Officers and/or Brokers, ensuring all locks adhere to current pricing and product guidelines. Manage lock extensions, re-locks, and changes in loan programs or terms; ensure all associated price adjustments or fees are applied accurately. Audit loan files for accuracy within the Product & Pricing Engine (PPE) and LOS to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to closing. Serve as the primary point of contact for investors regarding pricing discrepancies, lock extensions, re-locks, program changes, and Purchase Advice reconciliations. Enforce company lock policies and actively monitor the pipeline to prevent pricing leakage and protect profit margins. Assist Loan Officers and/or Brokers with complex pricing scenarios and specialized loan products, including FHA, VA, USDA, DPA, Jumbo, Non-QM, and Second Trust Deed (2nd TD). Apply working knowledge of
CFPB, RESPA
2010, and compliance requirements to all lock desk functions. Collaborate with operational departments — including Funding, Account Manager, Disclosures, Processing, and Closing — to support pipeline management and timely loan delivery to investors. Utilize relevant software platforms including, but not limited to, Meridian Link (LQB), PML, Optimal Blue, and LenderPrice. Provide system troubleshooting support and guidance on pricing tools as needed.

The following activities fall outside the scope of the Lock Desk and are not within the responsibilities of this role: The Lock Desk Analyst is not authorized to contact borrowers directly to discuss or negotiate loan terms and/or interest rates.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a highly adaptable professional capable of maintaining precision and composure in a dynamic, high-volume environment. The successful candidate will combine technical analytical skills with the communication and interpersonal strengths required for effective collaboration across teams and with external partners. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a lock desk, secondary market, or related mortgage operations role. Strong knowledge of investor and internal underwriting guidelines. Demonstrated proficiency in pricing and origination platforms, including Meridian Link (LQB), Optimal Blue, LenderPrice, and similar tools. Familiarity with CFPB compliance standards and
RESPA 2010
requirements. Working knowledge of mortgage loan products, including FHA, VA, USDA, DPA, Jumbo, Non-QM, and Second Trust Deed.
