Overview:
The Senior Mortgage Loan Funder is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely funding of residential mortgage loans in compliance with company policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements. This role involves reviewing final loan documents, coordinating disbursements, resolving funding conditions, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mortgage funding with a strong understanding of TRIO, closing disclosures, wire processes, and escrow/title/attorney documentation.
Responsibilities:
Review and validate final closing documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with loan approval and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with closing agent (attorney/escrow/title companies), loan officers, and processors to ensure a smooth and timely closing and funding process. Prepare wire requests based on verified disbursement instructions. Ensure accurate and timely delivery of loan funding packages to internal and external stakeholders. Identify and resolve funding issues or conditions timely prior to disbursement. Maintain awareness of investor guidelines, regulatory updates, and internal procedures. Perform post-closing reviews to ensure all documentation is received and compliant.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in mortgage loan funding. Strong knowledge of mortgage compliance requirements. Familiarity with a variety of mortgage loan products. Proficient in Encompass loan origination system is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is USD $20.00/Hr. - USD $35.00/Hr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
