Full Job Description Summary:
The Mortgage Loan Processor will support the Central Processing & Training Team in managing and advancing mortgage loan files from initial application through underwriting, closing, and funding. This role ensures files are complete, compliant, and move efficiently through the pipeline while maintaining a high level of communication with loan officers, underwriters, and other departments. Inclusion in Training related initiatives for new onboarding employees and existing APM employees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide industry leading customer service to clients via phone, email, etc. Data entry into Encompass, MS Outlook, Excel and Word.
Loan file set up:
order 4506-T, order Social Security verification, order VOEs, pull LDP/GSA, pull MERs info, pull USPS verification, verify approved status of title/escrow, pull FHA case number if applicable. Loan pricing Request, prepare/review disclosures Sort loan related documents into appropriate fields in Encompass Review, follow up and track (contacting borrowers, title companies, real estate offices, appraisers, lenders, etc.) documentation required for loan processing throughout the process. Follow up and work with Loan Officer/Borrower through funding on any items needed to close loans. Assist Loan Officers with any other aspect of the loan closing as directed Submit all eligible files through DU/LP for automated approval prior to submitting to APMC or other lending institution Point of contact for Loan Officer and/or Borrower Ensure all borrowers receive final 1003 and MLDS in escrow prior to signing loan docs Follow through in obtaining broker check and other documentation needed for closing Close out files after funding to meet the standards of our Quality Control Department, work on any files with missing documentation or those that may need corrections to make sure that all files meet AMPC standards for Quality Control Conduct weekly pipeline review meetings with Loan Officers Maintain current posted turn times and customer service levels Develop and maintain current procedures for all functions within the Loan Processor position Other duties as assigned Review new loan submissions for completeness and accuracy. Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, and third-party vendors to collect documentation. Submit files to underwriting and coordinate conditions through to clear-toclose. Maintain system notes and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company requirements. Partner with the closing department to ensure timely delivery of loan packages. Shared Training Resource for new branches & branches to facilitate training. Assist in Capacity helping to answer Training Requests questions Mentoring new employees via the Training team Potential inclusion or lead for monthly training processor call Inclusion in Central Processing + Training monthly & weekly meetings Assist with drafting and editing branch-facing training collateral related to workflow, loan products, provide help resources and training for the company including instructional videos, how-to guides, or other related areas of business Support other strategic initiatives associated with the production education and training team by building and/or delivering training Other duties as assigned

  • Experience in retail residential mortgage loan origination Experience required.
Preferably as a Loan Officer, Loan Officer Assistant, or Processor. Strong knowledge of multiple loan programs including FHA/VA, Conventional, ACCESS, USDA, DU/LP, Jumbo. Ability to credit qualify borrowers.
