Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Loan Processor to join our team in San Jose, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in supporting the loan process by ensuring accuracy and compliance at every stage. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing team while developing your expertise in loan administration and mortgage processing.
Responsibilities:
- Review loan applications to ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to gather missing information or resolve discrepancies.
- Verify borrower information, including income, employment, and credit history, to support loan approvals.
- Prepare and submit loan files for underwriting and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Track the progress of loans from application to closing, ensuring timely communication with all parties involved.
- Assist in preparing closing documents and confirm that all conditions have been met prior to finalizing loans.
- Maintain detailed records of loan files and update systems with accurate information.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from clients and team members regarding loan statuses.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance. Requirements
- Proven experience in loan administration, mortgage processing, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending practices, including closing and origination processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and processing documentation.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally.
- Proficiency in using loan processing systems and related software.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the lending industry.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
