SUMMARY:
The Card Services Processor I supports daily debit and credit card operations by performing routine processing and administrative card functions in accordance with network requirements and established internal procedures. This role is focused on the timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks, daily and recurring reporting, and maintenance of card account information.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage recurring workloads in a fast-paced environment. In addition to back-office processing responsibilities, the Card Services Processor I provides phone support to Credit Union staff, assisting with card-related inquiries, resolution support, and routine operational requests while delivering professional and responsive service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and complete daily debit card operational reports to identify items requiring action, perform required processing steps, and ensure all applicable tasks are completed and documented within established timeframes Review and process routine card maintenance requests, including card status updates, travel notices, and account adjustments, within defined guidelines Assist with handling special account situations, including deceased members, in accordance with internal procedures Monitor and respond to Card Services email communications and operational queues to ensure timely and accurate handling of requests Provide phone support to Credit Union staff, assisting with routine card-related inquiries, requests, and follow-up activity Update and maintain daily tracking logs to reflect activity, production volumes, and task completion Process returned debit cards and other returned mail due to invalid addresses, ensuring proper documentation and follow‑up actions are taken Review daily network adjustment reports, save and organize electronic copies, and add appropriate comments to debit card claim files to support accurate tracking and timely processing Maintain organized digital records of daily card reports in compliance with PCI standards Maintain procedural documentation Participate in departmental projects, system testing, and process improvement initiatives Perform additional duties as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent Associate's degree in business, Finance, Accounting or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Preferred Experience:
1-3 years of experience in card services, banking operations, or financial services Any applicable system or program knowledge: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (tracking, reporting, and reviewing data) Experience within a financial institution, operations, call center, or card processing environment Knowledge of PCI compliance and data security best practices Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and applications to research information, update records, and document actions

Physical Demands:
Sitting for long periods at a time. Regularly required to talk or listen. Occasional lifting of office supplies up to 20 lbs. Vision abilities including close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Must understand and follow a set of clear oral and/or written procedures without deviation. Performs repetitive routine tasks. Withstand moderate amounts of stress. Must adhere to a provided work schedule to meet a set of qualitative production standards. Perform tasks that vary little from day to day.
