Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Loan Processor to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the loan processing lifecycle, ensuring compliance with federal regulations such as TILA and Fair Housing laws, and facilitating smooth loan origination and underwriting processes. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment that values accuracy, efficiency, and customer service excellence. Candidates with experience in FNMA guidelines, mortgage servicing, credit analysis, and banking operations will thrive in this role. Duties Review and verify loan documentation for completeness and accuracy in accordance with FNMA standards and underwriting guidelines Prepare and process loan applications, ensuring all necessary information is collected and properly documented Coordinate with underwriters, loan officers, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely approval of loans Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including TILA, Fair Housing regulations, and mortgage servicing requirements Conduct credit analysis to assess borrower eligibility and risk factors Manage escrow accounts and ensure proper calculation of taxes and insurance premiums Perform basic math calculations related to loan amounts, interest rates, and amortization schedules Utilize 10-key typing skills to accurately input data into loan processing systems Maintain detailed records of each loan file throughout the processing cycle Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, and internal teams to gather additional documentation or clarify information as needed Experience Prior experience in loan origination or mortgage processing within the financial services or banking industry is highly preferred Knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage servicing practices Familiarity with TILA disclosures, contracts, escrow management, and fair housing regulations Strong credit analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial documents and assess borrower risk Experience working with loan processing software systems and proficiency in basic math calculations including amortization schedules Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure compliance and accuracy throughout the loan process Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks This role is ideal for candidates who are committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy while providing exceptional service within a fast-paced environment. A background in banking or financial services combined with strong analytical skills will enable success in this position.
