Loan Officer Assistant - Experienced (In-Person, Wellington, FL) Job Overview One Stop Mortgage is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant to join our financial services team in Wellington, FL. This pivotal role supports the loan origination process, ensuring smooth and efficient handling of mortgage applications from start to finish. You'll work closely with loan officers, borrowers, underwriters, realtors, title companies, and insurance agents to facilitate accurate documentation, compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and adherence to agency guidelines (FNMA, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA). Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help clients achieve their homeownership goals while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and accuracy. This is a full-time, in-person role. Duties Assist loan officers in preparing and reviewing loan applications, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all required documentation Support the loan origination process through document collection from borrowers — income, assets, credit, ID, and conditions Calculate income accurately across W-2, self-employed/tax returns, K-1s, commission, bonus, rental, and other variable income types Prepare and issue pre-approvals based on a full review of credit, income, and assets Run files through AUS (LPA and DU) and review findings Coordinate with underwriters to facilitate smooth loan approval workflows, including submitting necessary documents for underwriting review Serve as a key point of contact — communicating and coordinating with realtors, title companies, insurance agents, and borrowers throughout the process Answer basic borrower questions and keep everyone informed on file status Ensure compliance with TILA (Truth in Lending Act), RESPA, Fair Housing regulations, and other relevant federal and state laws throughout the loan process Manage loan processing tasks such as escrow coordination, contract review, and mortgage servicing documentation Perform calculations related to loan terms, payments, and interest rates with accuracy Maintain detailed records of all transactions, correspondence, and contractual agreements related to each loan application Track pipeline status, follow up on conditions, and keep files moving toward clear-to-close Required Skills & Experience 2+ years of experience as a Loan Officer Assistant, processor, or in a similar mortgage support role Strong understanding of agency guidelines (FNMA, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA) and underwriting procedures for residential mortgages Strong income calculation skills (W-2, self-employed/tax returns, K-1s, rental, variable income) Proven ability to manage document collection and issue accurate pre-approvals Proficiency running and reading findings in Loan Product Advisor (LPA) Working knowledge of Arrive (LOS) Knowledge of mortgage-related regulations including TILA, RESPA, Fair Housing laws, and escrow procedures Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and jumbo loan products Proficiency in credit analysis, contract review, and mortgage servicing operations Strong communication skills — confident communicating with borrowers, realtors, title companies, and insurance agents both verbally and in writing Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills and 10-key typing accuracy for quick data entry and record keeping Ability to interpret contracts and legal documents related to loans and banking transactions Reliable, in-office presence Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week Bonus Points For Underwriting experience (huge plus — helps you spot issues before they become problems) GoHighLevel (GHL) experience for pipeline and CRM workflows DU (Desktop Underwriter) experience in addition to LPA Bilingual (English/Spanish) Experience working with high-volume LOs or team-based mortgage operations Why One Stop Mortgage Join us in a role that combines energetic support with detailed precision.
