Mortgage Loan Processor

Mortgage Loan Processor Duties:

• Review loan applications and ensure all necessary documents are included
• Verify applicant information, such as employment, income, and credit history
• Calculate debt-to-income ratios and determine loan eligibility
• Prepare loan files for underwriting and submit to the appropriate department
• Communicate with borrowers, lenders, and other parties involved in the loan process
• Coordinate with escrow companies to ensure timely closing of loans
• Maintain accurate records of all loan transactions and update databases as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math calculations
• Previous experience in a bank or financial institution is preferred
• Proficient in 10-key typing and data entry
• Knowledge of loan contracts, escrow procedures, and mortgage lending regulations is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
