$20•24/hr based on experience Sedona Staffing is recruiting a Loan Specialist for a local financial institution. The Loan Specialist is responsible for supporting loan officers and ensuring accurate preparation and management of loan documentation. This role involves coordinating the loan process, maintaining compliance with bank regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. The Loan Specialist plays a key role in the efficient and accurate processing of loans, contributing to the overall success of the lending department. Responsibilities Respond to routine inquiries from loan officers and customers by providing accurate information on account status, loan balances, payoff quotes, payment processing and loan advances; including auto pay setup and address updates. Assist loan officers and other personnel to ensure proper related documentation is prepared and/or provided. Follow the process of the loan with regard to ordering and requesting documentation, including financials, credit bureau reports, UCC filings, title policies or searches, appraisals, flood determinations, and loan documents. Scan loan documentation into the document imaging software for secure storage and easy retrieval. Assist with the preparation of loan files and documentation requests for internal and external audits and examinations. Adhere to compliance standards, bank regulations, and loan policies to ensure all activities are conducted within legal and regulatory frameworks. Support lenders during the initial stages of the loan process by facilitating smooth operations, including electronically sending documents for customer signatures. Build loans in AccuAccount, including scanning all pertinent documents for closing and uploading them to the system. Ensure loans are properly funded, send copies for loans to be built into the core system and complete file document checklists. Manage the organization and oversight of Construction Draw files, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. Handle construction draws and floorplans, ensuring proper documentation and processing. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in loan processing, loan documentation, or a related field is preferred. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, and other relevant software. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with document imaging software and loan processing systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proven experience in a role that requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accurate and efficient loan processing. Ability to achieve goals and meet deadlines consistently.
