$65,000•$75,000 per year Job Details•We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr Loan Closer to join our Accounting and Finance team. This role is integral to our company's success, as the incumbent will be responsible for closing mortgage loans efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and have a strong understanding of mortgage underwriting, credit analysis, and loan closing procedures. Responsibilities:

1. Manage the entire loan closing process, including coordinating with all parties involved, such as loan officers, underwriters, and clients. 2. Review loan applications to ensure their completeness and accuracy before they are submitted for underwriting. 3. Prepare and review closing documents, including mortgage agreements, deeds, and disclosure statements. 4. Use software programs to process loan applications and to generate closing documents. 5. Coordinate the loan funding process, ensuring that funds are disbursed in a timely and accurate manner. 6. Resolve any issues or discrepancies that might arise during the loan closing process. 7. Stay updated on changes in regulations and laws related to mortgage lending and loan closing. 8. Assist in the training and development of junior loan closers. 9. Collaborate with other departments, such as credit and underwriting, to ensure a smooth loan closing process.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in loan closing, preferably in the mortgage industry. 3. In-depth knowledge of mortgage loan products, underwriting guidelines, and closing procedures. 4. Proficiency in using loan processing software programs such as Laser Pro and Jack Henry. 5. Strong understanding of credit analysis and the ability to interpret credit reports. 6. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and clients. 8. Knowledge of refinance and other loan modification options. 9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet tight deadlines. 10. Familiarity with federal and state laws related to mortgage lending and loan closing. 11.
