Job Description
Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about delivering a seamless mortgage closing experience? The National Bank of Indianapolis is seeking a Closing Coordinator to support the closing, funding, and delivery of residential mortgage loans. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring conventional, jumbo, and portfolio loans close accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with Bankers, clients, title companies, and vendors while helping create an exceptional client experience from closing through funding. What You'll Do Review final loan files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to closing Prepare closing documentation for fixed and adjustable-rate mortgage loans Confirm final loan information and review Closing Disclosures with borrowers Coordinate with title agents to balance loan figures and accurately disburse loan funds Validate HMDA data and ensure regulatory reporting accuracy Complete loan delivery activities for secondary market investors Coordinate the release of escrow-held funds and follow up on outstanding documentation Manage exception items, including recorded mortgages and final title policies Support adverse loan activity processes as needed Provide backup support for processing and post-closing functions Collaborate with teammates and partners to deliver a seamless, high-quality client experience Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and Bank policies What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 3 years of residential mortgage closing experience required Strong understanding of mortgage closing and funding processes High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks effectively Experience with mortgage systems and applications; Encompass experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with a professional presence
