The role focuses on processing consumer and small business loans , ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant. About our Client Strong presence and portfolio throughout Jefferson and Orleans Parishes Stable, team-oriented environment with long-term career potential Competitive benefits including: 401(k) plan Health insurance 11 paid holidays Key Responsibilities Collect, review, and prepare documentation for loan packages Process consumer and small business loans Research applicants' credit and financial standing Prepare and maintain loan files, including disclosures and supporting documents Submit completed files to underwriters or appropriate approval channels Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and internal policies Follow up with clients and third parties to gather and verify information Review documentation for accuracy and completeness Request and analyze third-party items such as appraisals, title work, and insurance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in loan processing, banking, or a similar role (training available for strong candidates) Knowledge of loan documentation, processes, and closing procedures is a plus Strong math skills and attention to detail (accuracy is critical in banking) Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with banking systems and Microsoft Office preferred
