Job Description

Our Loan Operations Team is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor, based out of our Norway, ME office. Joining us as a Mortgage Loan Processor, you'll play a key role in supporting the mortgage lending process by providing administrative assistance and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of loan files. You'll be responsible for completing mortgage RESPA and revised RESPA, accurately updating the loan origination system, and efficiently managing the loan pipeline to meet turnaround expectations. Additionally, you'll order all required documentation for retail loan files, review materials for completeness, and ensure each file complies with State and Federal regulations as well as internal policy standards. Key Responsibilities:
Prepares required initial RESPA documentation in LOS. Provides administrative assistance to Loan Officers and the Loan Operation's team, including the management of expiring commitment dates, the validation of loan data in the lending software and the review documentation within the loan file. Acts as the main point of contact for borrowers, providing updates on loan status and answering questions. Tracks new consumer loan applications for Reg B purposes and follows up with lenders for complete loan packages. Ensures residential and consumer loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data for regulatory requirements. Answers written and phone inquiries from customers or loan officers concerning loan processing and information. Updates and monitors mortgage pipelines to meet delivery dates, purchase and sale commitments, commitment expiration dates and estimated closing dates. Requests verifications and documentation required by underwriter. Tracks and prepares loan conditions for underwriter review. Reviews files for completeness and prepares the file for closing. Orders appraisals, title reports, MLIP and flood certifications. Maintains the RLC scan folder and Appraisal inbox, removing documents, updating system and filing in appropriate loan files as necessary. Assists in completion of pre-closing QC and HMDA review. Ensures timely completion of all compliance training and adherence to all regulatory guidelines.
What You Should Bring:
High School diploma or equivalent. Six months to one year of experience in an office environment, with good understanding of financial institution products and services preferred. Possesses working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Adept at prioritizing and organizing work flow with consistently good attention to detail. Possesses excellent written communication skills, including superb letter and report writing abilities. Demonstrates consistently good oral communication skills when conversing with customers, along with exhibiting well-founded listening abilities and skills. Possesses a positive attitude with the willingness to work as a collaborative and effective team player.
