Job Description

TLC Community Credit Union At TLC Community Credit Union, we believe in "people helping people." We are currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Processor to join our Mortgage team and play a key role in helping members achieve their homeownership goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and member-focused, with strong knowledge of conventional mortgage processing and Fannie Mae guidelines. This individual will serve as a central point of coordination throughout the mortgage process while ensuring loans are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory and investor requirements. What You'll Do Process conventional mortgage loan applications intended for sale to Fannie Mae (FNMA) Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines Collect, verify, and organize required documentation including income, assets, employment, credit, and property information Serve as a primary point of contact for members throughout the loan process, providing timely updates and excellent service Partner closely with Mortgage Loan Originators and Underwriters to move loans efficiently through the pipeline Communicate proactively with title companies, appraisers, realtors, and other third parties to coordinate timelines and resolve issues Order and review appraisals, title work, flood certifications, verifications of employment, and other required services Ensure loan files meet Fannie Mae Desktop Underwriter (DU) findings and investor delivery requirements Maintain accurate and compliant loan documentation within the loan origination system Monitor multiple loan files simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards Stay current on mortgage regulations including TRID, RESPA, HMDA, and other applicable lending requirements Identify and escalate file issues or compliance concerns appropriately and timely What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required Post-secondary coursework in finance, business, or related field preferred Minimum of 4 years of progressive mortgage processing experience Direct experience processing conventional loans for sale to Fannie Mae (FNMA) required Experience in a credit union or community financial institution preferred Knowledge of Fannie Mae guidelines and Desktop Underwriter (DU) Understanding of mortgage regulations including TRID, RESPA, HMDA, and federal/state lending requirements Experience with mortgage loan origination systems such as MeridianLink or similar platforms Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Excellent communication and member service skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and teamwork Why Join TLC?
