HOME BANK
is a family-owned bank that prides itself on supporting the communities it serves. We are looking to expand our team and are currently searching for a detail-oriented Mortgage Lending Assistant. The position of Mortgage Lending Assistant is responsible for assisting the Loan Officers in obtaining a complete mortgage file according to underwriter, bank policy, and investor guidelines as well as generating loan documentation for all types of mortgage loans. The position of Lending Assistant is expected to become fully knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of mortgage loans.
PLEASE NOTE
- This is NOT a remote position . This is a full-time position working primarily out of the Palmyra facility. Desired work schedule would be Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for 40 hours a week.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Receive loan applications from the online portal, review application information with core processor/imaging software, note any discrepancies, and determine the appropriate assignment. May be required to contact customers to determine the appropriate Loan Officer assignment. Monitor appraisal requests, order appraisals in a timely manner, and follow up with appraisers for completion timeframe. Notify team of any communication or updates from the appraiser and receipt of report. Review completed loan packages for required signatures and dates and work with the Lending Team to obtain missing information. Fund loans with Secondary Market investors. Board all complete loans on Core Processor (CSI/NuPoint), create required tickets to balance all loan types, and send applicable invoices to Finance to be paid. Monitor Grant Loan submissions, reimbursement to the bank, and complete applicable tickets after funding. Prepare loan files for document imaging and create the applicable barcodes. Assist department in removing information on the customer drive after imaged. Monitor document imaging exceptions to ensure proper receipt of loan documentation and coordinates with the Lending Team to obtain missing information. Process withdrawn & denied mortgage loans and work with Loan Officer to collect invoices due from transactions that have been withdrawn or denied. Review Secondary Market reports daily to monitor any funding issues that need addressed. Research unpaid invoices and coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve. Update and maintain all assigned procedures. Attend regular training opportunities to stay up to date on mortgage regulation and compliance changes. Ability to prioritize and complete assignments in a timely manner. Be flexible and versatile with job duties as they arise throughout the day. Complete other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor. Work as a team member of the

Additional duties and responsibilities are subject to change High school diploma or equivalent Previous mortgage experience preferred but not required Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask with strong attention to detail Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong Computer Skills with programs such as
