In this energetic role, you will coordinate and manage the processing of mortgage loan applications, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with industry standards. Your expertise will help streamline the loan approval process, support underwriters, and deliver exceptional service to our clients. Duties Collect, review, and verify all borrower documentation including income, assets, credit reports, and appraisal reports to ensure completeness and accuracy. Prepare and submit loan packages for underwriting approval, adhering to FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and Fair Housing regulations. Communicate with loan officers, underwriters, escrow officers, and borrowers to gather additional information or resolve discrepancies promptly. Ensure compliance with TILA (Truth in Lending Act), RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act), and other federal or state regulations during the loan processing cycle. Maintain detailed records of all loan processing activities, including contracts, disclosures, and correspondence. Monitor loan status throughout the approval process and update relevant parties regularly to keep workflows moving efficiently. Assist in mortgage servicing tasks such as escrow analysis and tracking payments when necessary. Requirements Proven experience in loan processing within the financial services or banking industry; prior mortgage or loan officer experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage servicing processes. Familiarity with TILA regulations, fair housing laws, contracts, and escrow procedures. Proficiency in credit analysis, basic math skills including 10 key typing accuracy, and understanding of loan origination systems. Ability to interpret financial documents accurately and perform detailed credit analysis. Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail to ensure all documentation complies with federal regulations such as TILA. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients throughout the loan process.
