Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Loan Processor- Loan Officer Assistant, where you will play a vital role in streamlining the mortgage lending process and supporting loan officers in delivering exceptional service to clients. Pay rate is $22 hourly and $250 per file bonus Responsibilities Assist loan officers by gathering, reviewing, and verifying borrower documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy. Prepare and submit loan packages for underwriting approval, adhering to FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and other investor requirements. Conduct credit analysis by evaluating borrower financial information, including income, assets, liabilities, and credit reports. Coordinate with escrow companies, title agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth loan processing and closing procedures. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, TILA (Truth in Lending Act), and other federal or state lending laws throughout the loan process. Review contracts, disclosures, and legal documents to confirm accuracy and adherence to banking standards. Maintain detailed records of all loan processing activities using the required 10-key typing skills and basic math calculations for data entry accuracy. Support mortgage servicing tasks by updating loan files, tracking application statuses, and communicating with clients as needed. Experience Bilingual required Prior experience as a Loan Officer Assistant or Loan Processor within the mortgage or financial services industry is highly desirable. Knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and loan origination processes is essential. Familiarity with mortgage servicing practices, escrow procedures, and credit analysis techniques will set you apart. Experience working with TILA disclosures, contracts, and Fair Housing regulations demonstrates your commitment to compliance. Strong proficiency in banking operations, basic math skills, 10-key typing speed, and understanding of mortgage-related software tools are required. Previous exposure to loan processing tasks involving FHA/VA loans or other government-backed programs is a plus but not mandatory.
