Role:
Responsible for Home Lending post-closing process by ensuring loan files meet investor requirements. Ensure documentation and file are fully complete and in compliance. Collaborate with Funding, Secondary, and other operational and sales associates to facilitate delivery of complete and compliant loan packages to investors. Perform downloads from electronic loan files to imaging and depository systems. Responsible for issuance and guarantee of mortgage loans using external websites and activation and payment of mortgage insurance. Responsible for delivering excellent data integrity and accuracy while maintaining service level agreements and regulatory compliance. Partner and collaborate with all HL associates to ensure open communication, timely responses, expedient and accurate trailing condition gathering and clearing, and a superior customer experience. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Responsible for compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applying to designated job responsibilities. Keep up to date on regulation and policy changes. Follow all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and complete and stay up to date on all required annual or job-specific training. Assist with coaching, mentoring, or training others; teach coursework as a Subject Matter Expert or acting as a resource for others Home Lending associates as needed. Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words. About You:
H.S. Diploma/GED (preferred) 2-4 years — of experience in mortgage lending, processing, funding, title, escrow or related field and at least 5 years of experience as a Post-Closing Specialist. (Required) Advanced knowledge of mortgage loan documents and title, escrow, and general mortgage flow and functions or related banking or financial field. Advanced understanding of regulatory requirements or ability to understand and comply with regulatory requirements. Possess strong verbal communication and personal interaction skills, with ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer relationships. Possess strong organizational and reading comprehension skills. Proficient with personal computer and related software packages, including MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook, and LOS, and other business machines. Proficient with data entry and possess that ability to balance production standards with data integrity and accuracy. Travel Requirements Occasional The pay range for this role is $20.00 to $30.00. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
