The Loan Processor I is a member of the Loan Operations Department and is responsible for performing residential mortgage and consumer loan processing in an efficient and expedient manner. This position is 100% in-office.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assembles residential mortgage and consumer loan files for processing, including the preparation and delivery of all necessary disclosures. Orders real estate appraisals, lien searches, credit bureau reports, flood certifications, and title insurance as needed.
Schedules closings:
coordinating lender, customer, and title company. Provides fees and payoffs to the title company. Prepares all required loan closing documents including proper regulatory disclosures. Preparescommitment letters for all residential mortgages. Calculates initial deposits for residential mortgage and consumer transactions where real estate taxes and insurance are escrowed. Prepares loan disbursement checks. Coordinates compliance efforts with the Consumer Credit Services Manager for residential mortgage and consumer credits. Maintains a current knowledge of laws and regulations which impact residential mortgage and consumer lending areas. Prepares records and reports as needed including mortgage loan pipeline and ALCO reports weekly.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, related degree preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of one year baking experience or equivalent.
Skills:
Knowledge of Encompass Mortgage Loan Origination Systemknowledge of industry regulations and mortgage processing preferred, but not required. Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills required. Fleetwood Bank is an equal opportunity employer.
