The Lending Services Specialist focuses on reviewing and preparing complete loan packages, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and ready for credit review. It goes beyond traditional processing, requiring strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and ownership of the full loan file. The ideal candidate will have consumer and commercial lending experience including short and long-term loan structures, mortgages, and security agreements. Onsite to start, with the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule after an initial onboarding period (~6 months)
Key Responsibilities:
Review consumer and commercial loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to credit submission Analyze loan documentation to identify missing information, discrepancies, or potential issues and follow up to resolve Prepare and organize loan packages, including supporting documentation (mortgages, security agreements, etc.) Partner closely with internal teams to gather required information and ensure timely file completion Assist with loan closing and post-closing activities, ensuring all documentation is properly executed and recorded Maintain accurate loan data and documentation within internal systems Provide ongoing support to internal stakeholders and serve as a resource for loan documentation questions Ideal candidate will possess: 3+ years of experience in loan processing, loan documentation, or related lending operations Strong understanding of consumer and/or commercial loan structures and documentation Experience with compliance regulations (TRID preferred) Ability to review and interpret loan documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and take initiative to resolve them Excellent organizational and communication skills Proficient in
