4-month Contract About the Role The Lockbox Payment Processor prepares customer payments for deposit by completing routine, production‑based tasks according to established procedures. Responsibilities Manually extract checks and remittance documents from envelopes Separate, sort, and prepare checks/invoices based on client‑specific instructions Accurately input payment amounts from the legal line of checks into proprietary software Follow unique, account‑specific processing instructions for each deposit Create check copies and re-associate them with invoices and envelopes as required Match and staple check copies, invoices, and envelopes per customer specifications Sort completed batches into the outgoing mail section for client return Maintain departmental productivity and quality standards Follow all established processing procedures Maintain a clean, organized work area Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Required Skills Basic computer skills Strong organizational skills Preferred Skills 1+ year experience in banking operations Data entry or 10-key proficiency
