Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic financial services team as a Mortgage Closer/Funder, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless finalization and funding of mortgage loans. This energetic position requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, meticulously coordinating all closing activities to deliver exceptional service to our clients. You will be responsible for verifying documentation, ensuring compliance with federal regulations such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and Fair Housing laws, and facilitating the smooth transfer of funds to close loans efficiently. Your expertise will help uphold our commitment to integrity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction throughout the mortgage process. Duties Review and verify all loan documentation, including contracts, escrow instructions, and disclosures, ensuring accuracy and completeness in accordance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and underwriting requirements Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and borrowers to facilitate timely loan closings Prepare and review closing statements, settlement statements, and final loan packages for accuracy and compliance with federal regulations such as TILA and Fair Housing laws Ensure all conditions are met prior to funding, including credit analysis validation, escrow account setup, and verification of borrower information Oversee the disbursement of funds by processing wire transfers or checks while maintaining detailed records of all transactions Conduct thorough loan processing checks using basic math skills and 10-key typing to verify figures related to loan amounts, interest rates, taxes, insurance premiums, and escrow accounts Maintain comprehensive records of all closing activities, including audit trails for compliance purposes and future reference Skills Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines and underwriting procedures for mortgage loans Experience in loan origination processes from application through closing Familiarity with mortgage servicing practices and credit analysis techniques Understanding of federal regulations such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act), Fair Housing laws, and banking compliance standards Ability to process loans accurately using basic math skills and 10-key typing proficiency Knowledge of escrow procedures, contracts management, and bank operations related to mortgage funding Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure error-free closings Effective communication skills for coordinating with multiple stakeholders involved in the mortgage process Join us in delivering exceptional mortgage solutions by ensuring every detail is handled with precision.
