Mortgage Loan Processor

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to join a dynamic lending team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role will support the end-to-end loan process, working closely with members and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate loan completion. Key Responsibilities Manage a pipeline of 20-30 loans simultaneously using a round-robin assignment system Take ownership of loans after initial opening, driving them through full processing Review loan files for completeness and accuracy Communicate directly with members to request and collect required documentation Coordinate with underwriting to submit and review findings Ensure files move efficiently through processing milestones to clear-to-close Reopen files when additional documentation or clarification is needed Required Qualifications 1+ year of mortgage processing experience (home equity experience is acceptable as a starting point) Experience working in a bank, credit union, or financial services environment Familiarity with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loans at once Excellent time management and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in home equity loan processing Background as a Loan Officer Assistant or in underwriting support Experience working with DU (Desktop Underwriter) findings Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus Work Environment Hybrid model: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote Collaborative team environment with structured workflows Opportunity for long-term growth and full-time conversion What We're Looking For Highly organized and detail-driven professionals Individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong communicators who provide excellent member/customer service Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Vernon Hills, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
