Job Description

Role:
Responsible for the processing of mortgage applications submitted into the mortgage pipeline.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Processes mortgage applications to include preparing and sending initial loan disclosures, ordering title work and appraisal, obtaining flood certificates, evidence of homeowner's insurance, and flood insurance, if applicable. Obtains verifications of employment and verifies Military Lending Act status, if applicable. Coordinates closings, including scheduling and verifying that all parties to the transaction are available. Obtains any necessary payoffs. Works with closing agents to prepare closing disclosures and final loan documents. Validates all signed documents received from closing agent are accurate. Corrects any errors and notifies member, if applicable. Reviews conditions in loan file. Verifies all required information is present. Notifies lender if items are absent. Uploads documents and clears conditions as needed. Completes booking checklist. Assigns loans to back office for booking. Assists members on the phone via the call queue and direct call. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
One year to three years of similar or related experience A high school education or GED Must have good communication and organizational skills. Attention to detail. Ten key calculator and keyboard skills. This position is hybrid. Eligible to work from home after 6 months of on-site training at our Gadsden, AL branch.
