The Processing Manager will be assigned approximately ten retail loan processors to handle their day-to-day operations, directly supervise performance, provide guidance and facilitate ongoing trainings. Being a Processing Manager means that you are able to develop and set operating performance metrics and standards for speed, quality and customer service. Extensive knowledge of the functions, department processes and regulatory requirements are required for consideration.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
REQUIREDTechnical Knowledge, Years of Related Experience, Skills, Licenses, and Systems ExperienceExperience:
3-5 years experience as a Processing Manager or Manager in the mortgage industry
Skills:
Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, excellent leadership and management skills. Knowledge of mortgage terminology, regulations and credit markets required. Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate. Ability to review timecards, delegate loan assignments to ensure no gap in coverage or erroneous figured being reported for payroll purposes, Develop, teach and support loan processing team to ensure timely closing & compliance. When needed, determine candidate/employee eligibility and suitability of hiring, promotions, compensation changes and performance improvements preferred.
Systems:
Superiority general computer and analytical skills. Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (including Teams) experience required
TRAINING REQUIRED
Participate in additional training on sales, technology, products, procedures and pricing on an ongoing basis. Participate in sales leadership and FAQ calls. Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ensuring Processors are effectively supporting Loan Officers by exercising all Processor functions and skillfully meeting SLAsCollaborates with Sales Leadership to identify methods and strategies to assist Processors and Loan Officers to work successfully together as a team.

Able to identify when a Processor is experiencing challenges such as overload, burn out, job dissatisfaction and offer solutions and support by conducting regular one on one meetings with each Processor on their team.

Ensuring loans are processed according to agency/investor guidelines and adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Managing timesheets including but not limited to; approving time off requests and balancing vacation schedules to ensure that proper loan coverage is in place for the team.

Monitoring and managing loan distribution amongst loan processors. Ensuring proper training is maintained and executed for your loan processing team.

Providing excellent written and verbal communication with other internal departments to ensure that the loan pipeline stays flowing properly. Conducting annual performance reviews according to each team members seniority date.

Analyzing and presenting loan processing improvement reports for auditing and compliance purposes.

Hosting and attending Branch Manager and Processor weekly meetings to review bulletins, discuss recent changes, solutions for any challenges and to celebrate team members that are making a difference.

Balancing invoices for American Express monthly statements.

From time to time, conducting interviews and make hiring decisions for prospective loan processors candidates, as needed.

Attend and participate in all Monthly Awards Ceremonies, Corporate Gatherings (including travelling to headquarters quarterly) , Sales Calls & Training Events. Read all newsletters and bulletins to remain current on corporate policies, procedures, and developments.
