Assists underwriters, lenders and other third parties in clearing pre-closing conditions that include compliance related documents. The position requires enhanced attention to detail and internal customer service skills. Time management under strict deadlines is crucial to this position. Position Responsibilities & Duties Works closely with Borrower and SBA Lender to obtain due diligence required to protect the SBA Guaranty Reviews all Due Diligence documents required to close an SBA loan to assure it meets SBA eligibility requirements. Enters loan information into Etran and generates the final SBA Terms and Conditions. Prepares and reviews closing documents; works with escrow and title companies; orders insurance certificates prior to loan funding, and completes all necessary searches (CAIVRS, 4506's, SAM, Floods, Site Visits, UCC/Tax Liens, etc.) Construction draw process including working with third party Construction Mgmt. Firms. Process USDA loans from origination to close Maintains an open line of communication/correspondence between all involved parties. Follows policies and procedures; completes tasks correctly and on time; supports the company's goals and values. Ensures compliance with established company policies and procedures. Assists with training and education; works cooperatively with SBA Team to identify gaps. Reviews and quality checks loan files. Education & Experience 2 years of post-secondary education, Business or Finance, preferred 2 plus years of SBA or related experience, required Advanced knowledge of the SBA SOP and a good understanding of legislation and regulatory environment of the banking industry, highly preferred Skills Effective organizational and time management skills. Strong computer skills, including Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Strong working knowledge of SBA loans and familiarity with SBA's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Intermediate knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank lending policies. Intermediate math skills; calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs. Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write reports, correspondence, and procedures, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
