Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Funder to manage and execute the funding of residential mortgage loans across Wholesale, Retail, and Mini-Correspondent channels. This role is responsible for both wet and dry funding transactions, ensuring all closing conditions are satisfied, documents are accurate, and funds are disbursed in compliance with investor, regulatory, and company guidelines. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in funding operations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high-volume pipeline while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ability to draw loan docs and create Closing Disclosures (CD)
  • Review closing packages to ensure all prior-to-funding conditions are satisfied
  • Execute both wet and dry funding transactions in accordance with company and investor guidelines
  • Verify accuracy of Closing Disclosures (CD), settlement statements, and loan documents
  • Fund loans across Wholesale, Retail, and Mini-Correspondent channels
  • Coordinate with escrow/title, brokers, and internal teams to meet funding deadlines
  • Review and validate wire instructions and adhere to fraud prevention protocols
  • Authorize and release funding wires in compliance with warehouse bank requirements
  • Ensure compliance with TRID, federal, state, and investor guidelines
  • Manage daily funding pipeline and meet SLA/turn-time expectations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve funding issues, escalations, and document discrepancies
  • Maintain audit-ready loan files and support QC/post-close reviews
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior funders
Qualifications Required:
  • 5+ years of mortgage funding experience
  • Strong experience with wet and dry funding
  • Experience in funding Wholesale, Retail, and Mini-Correspondent loans
  • Advanced knowledge of Closing Disclosures (CD) and settlement statements
  • Strong understanding of TRID and regulatory compliance
  • Experience working with warehouse lines and wire processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a high-volume pipeline in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
  • Experience with FHA, VA, Conventional, Jumbo, and Non-QM products
  • Familiarity with Encompass system
  • Leadership or mentoring experience
  • Strong problem-solving and escalation management skills
